Coggeshall Farm Museum begins the 2022 season by welcoming back an old favorite- maple sugaring! Coggeshall’s costumed historians will demonstrate the process of tapping the trees all the way to “sugaring off.” Learn what part maple sugar played in local foodways, the environment, the economy, and the 18th-century abolitionist movement.

Our friends from Gnarly Vines Farm will also be at Coggeshall Farm Museum this weekend with their food truck, featuring Johnnycakes with maple and blueberry sauce and breakfast sandwiches!

Maple sugaring is a weather-dependent program, therefore Coggeshall will demonstrate maple sugaring throughout March as long as the weather permits.
