WHAT to EXPECT As a working farm, the visitor experience at the museum will vary by the seasons, weather, and rhythms of pre-industrial farm life. Interpreters may be found in the farmhouse, outbuildings, garden, fields, woods, or marsh depending on the work at hand. The people you'll encounter wearing reproduction costume are trained in the skills and history of the period. Don't hesitate to converse with them as they work, ask questions while they eat, and listen while they sing. Museum visits are self-guided and their length and content may be determined by the interests of the visitor. Please check our Calendar page for listings of special events, workshops, and other pre-scheduled activities. |
