Accurately recreating a pre-industrial Rhode Island farm is an undertaking that requires enormous resources to make an effective teaching tool about the past. Livestock require constant and thorough care to insure their health and well-being while reminding us of the origins of our food supply. Reproduction tools must be carefully hand crafted to impart their feeling in the hands of a visiting child. Clothes must be continually mended and made for our interpreters to allow them to illustrate the role of personal adornment in the past.

If you've ever watched from the lane as cattle graze in the field, ever picked up a hoe and helped weed onions in the kitchen garden, or ever felt the soft folds of a warm cloak against winter's chill, please consider making a donation to Coggeshall Farm Museum to help us share those experiences for years to come.

As a private, non-profit, 501 (c)3 organization, the museum depends on admissions, fundraisers, memberships, and the generous support of the community to provide a unique place where people of all ages can discover more about themselves through learning more about their past. All donations are tax deductible.
